Farewell House!

Crazy. It's so crazy.
We had our movers show up Wednesday and they spent all day packing and loading. Then they came this morning and left with my whole house packed up in the truck.
So Daniel and I cleaned and cleaned. And I mopped my floors for the last time.
It was bittersweet. I'm really going to miss my kitchen that we put so much time and effort into.
And I'm going to miss this room:
Sure I'll have another nursery in our new house but it won't be the same as this one.
We brought Sean home to this one. I painted and decorated it just for my little newborn boy. It's got special memories.
I'll always cherish this first home of ours. It's been great to us and great for us. I'm so thankful for this house of ours.
Handing the keys over was hard. But it's going to a good couple and it is going to be a great first home for them.
Goodbye my house!

The Cabin

Our Trip to Paradise! (In pictures of course! with maybe a bit of description)

We went to Kalispell, Montana for a week with some friends Tiffany and Graham and their little girl Sadie and we stayed in the best cabin in the whole wide world! I seriously love this place! You just drive up and your instantly relaxed. So thank you Tony and Sassa for the wonderful Cabin!

On to the trip.
We stopped at Costco, of course, for lunch (and later we went back and bought cheese :) ). The children got oogled over. I mean who wouldn't.. look at those toes!

We had to wander around and found Sadie her first car.

Once at the cabin all the walkways were covered in snow and so we let the boys have some exercise. :)

trying to get Sean to scowl.
Sean was pretty excited about the rain! Probably would have crawled and played out in it if I would have let him.

This child is pretty obessed with his blanket. And it has to be this one. Can't be another that feels the exact same. Has to be this one or I get grief throughout the night and the next. I'm sorry for washing your blanket!

Just watching Planet Earth after a rough morning

Our Cheese guardian. Seriously. NO ones getting that cheese
Famous Dave's Cornbread Muffins. Need I say more?

We went on a walk. it was Eventful. Stay tuned for the video at the end

My little boy just wanting to walk!

Steep Hill+ice= find the video!

You can't get much cuter than this!

My lil nephew and the gun we gave him for his b-day. He's shooting Uncle 'Dam' :)
It was a blast! So fun and relaxing! And I have way to many pictures to upload them all!
this is the video of the Ice. :)

There is another one where he did actually make it to the top. NO harm came to them. Sadie slept through the whole thing. and Sean couldn't have cared less the silly boy.

AND! LOOK WHAT MY CHILD IS TRYING TO DO!

10 months

I went on a walk with Sean the other day and was just amazed to realize it's half way through March. My baby is 10 months old. I remember March 15 and was amazed then that he was ten months old. That time has moved so quickly.
A year ago at this time I was working at Rendall Park. I was so anxious for May. I wanted my baby in my arms. I wanted to see his little face and hands and feet and just hold him all day long. May could not come soon enough.
Now it is coming too soon. I'm excited for him to turn one and so excited for all the things he has accomplished over the last 10 months. But the year mark is coming upon us.

-Sean is trying to walk. I'm thinking he is going to accomplish that pretty soon here. He moves along furniture really well. Stands all by himself for long periods of time. And while we were at the cabin he even took steps all by himself.
-Weighs around 22lbs
-Is not so rolly polly any more. He's thinning out with all his movement.
He is always on the move.
-Food. LOVES IT ALL! a friend asked me if there was anything Sean didn't like. . . I can't think of anything. He eats whatever I give him and then some.
-babbles all the time. loves saying da da da. That's his favorite. I don't think he has quite figured out that name belongs to Daniel but he's close. I mean he says maaaa maaaa when he's sad. haha so at least he says my name occasionally.
-he loves being chased and growled at. Not so much a fan of being thown up in the air. But depending on his mood he loves that too!
-he is such a happy kid. honestly. He's full of smiles and giggles and grins. I love it!
- I asked him one morning if he had any kisses for me and he leaned over and gave me lots of open mouth kisses on my face. it was super cute. and wet. haha

I love this kid so stinking much!

he's such a stink now.

9 months!

Sean is a crawling machine. This kid has no problem getting any where he wants. He just puts his mind to it and away he goes. He does get distracted sometimes but food on the floor or something making noise and he will veer towards that. It's pretty darn cute. He's so proud of himself. He has mastered up the stairs as well thanks to another buddy of his. One day he was just sitting at the bottom of the stairs hitting them and the next thing he was cruising up those stairs. Now we just gotta master going down. We're working on it.

He loves to pull himself up and let go and just stand all on his own. He's so proud of it too. He starts clapping or waving his arms and still maintains his balance. I would think he would start to walk any day but when I try to walk with him he takes 2-3 steps and lifts his legs so I will carry him. What a kid.

Eats any thing that he can get into his mouth. I'm actually quite surprised by the stuff he can eat. It's impressive and makes meal times pretty easy. He still has no teeth so he gums everything to death. My little toothless wonder. :)

Daniel will claim that he has started saying "da-da". and well. He kinda has. Dan is quite proud of that. He loves it when he comes home from work and Sean comes crawling over to the gate super happy and talkative.  He does say muuuu muuum when he's grumpy and whinny. I'll be more excited when he says it when he isn't crying. But I'll take what I can get with him. :) I was leaving my primary meeting the other day and said, "Say 'bye-bye' Sean" And he says, " bu bu". Don't know if it was intentional but it was so cute! Melted my heart. He's always telling some story.

Loves giving wet slobbery open mouth kisses on my chin and nose. Or just shoving my chin in his mouth and rubbing his gums on it. It's slobbery and gross but so cute. haha. He also found his tongue and loves to push it and stretch out his bottom lip. Super cute!

Likes to tell you No a lot by shaking his head. It's a new game with him and Dad to shake his head no and then give Dad hi fives. I tell ya Dan has it coming when Sean is 2 and tells him no. It's his own fault.
We are teaching him yes as well. Which he does. Just not as often as No. But that's typical.

He is still my chunky monster. He weighs 21-22 lbs. Somewhere in there. Few more months and he is going to be front facing. He's going to love it! He has slimmed down a lot since crawling but still compare him to any other kids his age and he's a monster. :) a cute one though.

I'm having a hard time with thinking that in 3 months its going to be Spring. And his first birthday. Crazy. I am loving every minute of it and even though the time has just flown by I'm not regretting a single moment. I love spending every day with him and just watching him as he learns and figures out new things. His eyes just light up and I love it! Being his Mom is the best job I have ever had!

I Love Him!

A Valentines Day Post

If you came here looking to read all about a gushy romantical day you better find someone else's blog to read.
It was an typical day in my world. Heck I forgot it was valentines day... ( as did Dan most likely).

Dan came home from work and we spent some quality time together before a babysitter came over and we went to our branch "couples night". (Which was super fun, in case you were wondering).
There were two classes taught and the a dance.
The classes were keeping things fun and fresh in a marriage, (It was PG people. Calm down) and having unity in your marriage. Both really good classes.
Then we had a dance after. What fun. It may not have been as crazy as the YSA dances but it was still pretty intense and such a good time.

Saturday we went Skiing at Tabletop in North Battlefor, Saskatchewan.
Yes ... in Saskatchewan. It was a glorified Coulee. But it was still pretty intense and enough for me to do and remember how to ski. Its been a while.
 It was a good day!

I'm so glad we have such willing friends to watch our baby for the day while we went out to play. I'm going to miss that..

Hopefully we find new friends that think our baby is cute and perfect!

Daniel kept Valentines Day going this morning by making me breakfast. :)
I may not get anything crazy romantical but him making breakfast with Sean while I shower in peace.
That about covers it for me.
I'm easy to please! :)

The Start of Something New

Well, most have heard this by now but Daniel got a new job within the same company and so... We are moving.

It started around October when CPS had finished buying and selling and jobs were opening up within the company with a chance for him to advance and grow within. So we talked and talked and finally he started applying to the ones down south that we thought would be good places to go that would bring us closer to home and family.
Now I never thought Vulcan would be that place. Or that we would be leaving in a month.
How hard it will be to say goodbye to all the wonderful friends and memories we have made.
We moved up to Lloydminster a week after we were married. It's where WE began. It's were I finished school. It's where we bought our first house and brought home our first baby. It's where we've made OUR first friends as a married couple. It has been one of the best choices we have made. To move away from our families and to start our marriage with us. It gave us a chance to grow together and lean on one another and not our families as much.
I may not have been thrilled to leave Magrath and move to Lloydminster 3 years ago. Heck up until a year ago I was still excited for the day when we would move back south. Now here the chance is and I'm scared and excited all at the same time.
It's going to be hard to leave such a wonderful "family" that we have there in Lloydminster.  We will make it work.
It's time for a new adventure for our family. A new adventure for Dan in work. It will be a new, exciting and scary change. But ....
What can ya do?

Here it comes. :)

Nothing Fancy

So it all started with Dan taking a hockey game last minute and I had to cancel some simple plans I had with a friend.
He came home from hockey and said to me "I was thinking. You should get out a bottle tomorrow and I'll hang out with Sean and you can go out"

Pretty sweet hey?

So I started thinking of something to do but there wasn't much in Lloyd. And then a good friend offered to take Sean so Dan and I could go on a date. That sounded pretty good. So that's what we did.

We blew off our vemma 12 week challenge we've been doing (oops) and went to OJ's. For wings and nachos. It was glorious. Then we were thinking about a movie but instead went over to another friends house and played games and visited. It was awesome.

Nothing to fancy but it was awesome and just what I needed. A short and sweet break. I don't get to just hang out with Dan to often.I love Sean like crazy but some days I like just hanging out with his daddy.

So it was a good and simple recharge evening. Just perfect!

Thanks to all my wonderful friends for making it happen.
