Zoo Lights

Dan cam home from work on Wednesday and said he had training early the next morning so he was going to book a hotel in Calgary and go up so he wouldn't have to wake up early and drive.
Then he told me the rest of the plan was Sean and I should come and hang out with him and he'll go to his training and then after we'd head to the Zoo Lights.
Sounded fun to me. Better than hanging at home all day again so off we went. We stopped by Whitney and Colin's and hung out there for a while. Sean and their kids got along great. So we made plans to hang out again while Dan was at training.

We had a lovely hotel room with a king size bed. It was the king suite so we had a "sitting room" and that's where Sean got so sleep in his play pen.

Sean had a decent night sleep but dan and I not so much. I got about three hours. I blame it on the fact of being somewhere new, not as comfy a bed as I like, dan snoring, Sean coughing oh and being 30 weeks prego.

But that's okay. Dan went to training and Sean and I hung out and got ourselves some breakfast and went swimming. He loved that. Loved jumping into the pool and laughing at the other kids there. It was great.
Him and I went back over to Whitney and Colin's after we checked out of the hotel.
The kids played some more. I picked up Dan and we all hung out again until we went to the zoo lights.

Sean quite enjoyed it. We had a nice night for it too. I forgot his stroller at home so he had to walk. And he did. What a trooper. Held our hands and oooh'd and ahhhh'd at all the lights.

Towards the end he decided he was more interested in the "ahplees" flying above. Almost had a melt down when one flew away. Haha what a kid.

It was such a good time and I'm glad we got away for a short little break. :)
I'm just bummed I forgot my camera and only had my iphone! Gotta remember to start bringing that bad boy everywhere. Sheesh.

30 weeks! and a little update on everyone

I have to say that this second pregnancy has just flown by! I think it helps to have Sean running around keeping me moving. Even though all I wanna do now is just sit around and veg. oh well.

Baby#2
This baby is growing good and is going to be just as active as his older brother I do believe. I've gotten some clothes washed and I'm starting to set up the room for him to come. But I'm procrastinating too because this baby still aint coming till next year people! :P

Indie
All is going well with me this time around. (thought I would mention that since people ask all the time) Dr. Topping is quite happy with how good things all going. She's been seeing me every 2 weeks since I was 23 weeks. (Helps pass time thats for sure). I'm hoping I get to stay at every two weeks till 36 like normal but we'll see. She did mention that once I hit this last trimester she wanted more ultrasounds to watch baby growth, placenta, and my uterus. I'm fine with seeing my baby more often. :) I'm feeling blessed that every thing is going well. And I'm praying it stays that way!

Sean
He is just the cutest lil guy ever. He definitely keeps me on my toes. It's hard for me not to chase him around and tickle him and rough house with him like I used to. That's one thing I am looking forward to after I have this baby! He definitely loves it when Daddy comes home from work and can really play with him. He's talking more all the time. His new favorite word is "chookute" (chocolate). He found my stash of Reese's peanut butter cups in my night stand and loves to bring one to me to see if he can eat it. I should probably move that stash soon.
He is the master of all animal sounds. Now if only I could get him to actually say the animals name. haha. He's starting to count just a little. He was helping me bake the other day and I was counting scoops into the bowl 1, 2, 3,  "foor" He'll also do "sits"(6) from time to time.
He also really loves his poppa and aunty (dani). Still trying to work on him that he has lots of Aunts but its still mostly Aunty Dani that he equates aunty with.
Oh I could just tell stories about this child of mine all day and how absolutely wonderful and loving and helpful he is!
He actually is quite a help. Helps Dan and I clear the table after dinner, load the dishwasher, unload the dishwasher and holding the dustpan when I sweep (which is actually a huge help now!) He loves it and we make it super fun for him so hopefully it sticks.

Dan
Working and trying to stay busy at work. Somewhat hard to do in the Agriculture field in the winter but he manages. Reffing hockey has picked up a little but is nothing near as insane as what he is used to which he is bummed about but I'm fine with. :) He even goes and plays BBall wednesday nights and enjoys that. It's nice that we have our evenings back to just relax and watch a movie instead of working like crazy on the basement. I'm sure it'll start up again though as I would love to have the basement bathroom done before baby #2 arrives.

That's our little life in a nutshell right now. Life is going great and I couldn't be more happy about it! Christmas is coming and it's always such a wonderful time of year to reflect on all the wonderful blessings we have been given!

Just Something

Its been a while since I have posted much here. My brain is going void of any topics or life events that are happening right now.

As of 20 mins ago we finished putting doors in downstairs. We are just that much closer to booting Sean downstairs. Which means I can start getting the Nursery set up and clothes put away etc. I'm kinda getting antsy for that. I also have a few crafts I wanna do/finish. I just need to go buy the stuff. (Procrastinator). Nesting perhaps?

People are always asking how far along/how many more weeks till baby. Sometimes I just wanna say you count the weeks until Feb 22. I'm seriously so amazed at how fast this pregnancy has gone. It's just borderline ridiculous. But I am chasing a 1 1/2 year old around the house every day. Which don't get me wrong I love. But some days I just wanna keep my feet up and stuff my face with fruit and chocolate all day. :)
For anyone wondering this pregnancy is going great. No BP issues or anything. YAY. They are keeping a pretty close eye on me this time around. I've been in to see the OBGYN every 2 weeks since 23 weeks. Soon I'll be getting another ultrasound so they can monitor growth of baby/placenta/utereus etc. Just to keep a eye on things. :) And this child is acting like he doesn't have any room already! He better slow down on the growth he still has over 10 weeks in there! Any bets on how big this one will be? (ouch)

The toddler.
Is a moving/talking machine! I love it!
he is super helpful clearing the table even putting a few dishes in the dishwasher. He helps me sweep up the floor, throws garbage away, cleaning up his toys we are working on. haha
Oh he is also OBSESSED with brushing his teeth. I can be in the bathroom and he'll be downstairs and i'll yell "I'm brushing my teeth" and in 2 seconds flat he is by my side with his finger in his mouth indicating he wants to brush his teeth. In fact any time he sees a bathroom sink he wants to brush his teeth! Most the time I humor him and let him too. It's a good habit to start!

He loves Elmo. It's our newest obssesion. Thank heavens it's on Netflix.
He also loves the song "Happy" by Pharrel Williams. In fact he points to the computer and asks for Happy. Crazy kid.

* We were installing our basement doors a few days ago and we had a big glitch with one of them. Dan was super frusterated at this point and when the door would shut into the door jam he said, " OH NO."
Then Sean says." oh no!"
I am so glad that whatever part of Dan's brain was thinking of his child said oh no instead of what I know he was thinking. Which would not have been appropriate for a 1 1/2 year old to be running around saying for the rest of the day. Now whenever I say Oh no Sean says, Dadda!  because that's what Dadda says! :)

He also loves baby and calls his belly a baby. We're working on that. He loves to kiss my belly and blow raspberrries and hug it. OH and belly bumping. haha What a clown.
