Christmas 2015

I love having kids at Christmas. Beats the two Dan and I had on our own before they came into this world!

Christmas morning came and I woke up at 8:00. All three of my boys were still sleeping away. So I got to stay in bed myself. I heard Sean get up a little after 8:15 and he went and sat at the top of the stairs for a while. I'm sure he could see the tree and all the presents that magically appeared while he slept. He came and snuggled in bed with me. I asked him if he saw the tree and all the presents, some that Santa had bought. He said ya. Should we open them? ya. Should we wake up Dad and Max and open them now? No Mom, I need yogurt.

Needless to say we had to have breakfast before we could open anything. Including stockings. What a kid. Sean loved everything. All that he got, and Mom and Dad and of course everything Max got too. I think Sean's favorite was when he saw some chocolate in his stocking. He's definitely my kid.

Stockings

Max just liked eating the oranges. Peel and all

New books. Had to read each one as he opened it or found it in his stocking!
Sean definitely loved all the presents this year. haha it was almost too much for him he didn't know what to play with first!

It was a little hard on him I think when we had to pull him away from his toys and head to Dan's parents house in the afternoon. He just really wanted to play with his new toys. But he did get a new one from them as well and Dawson was there to play with so he did just fine. The boys were super good at sharing toys. I think Max's little piano toy was Sean's favorite though. He plays with it more than Max still. What a kid.

Max's toy. What do you call this thing anyway?

That's Christmas in a nut shell. It was a fun day.

Boxing Day

We got up again around 8-8:30 (these boys are awesome) Fed and clothed them. Then went to my parents house where they again got spoiled! A shark punching bag and another car for Sean and a puppet for Max. That Sean also loves! The boys also got some books thanks to Aunty Becky. Sean's already a fan of them all.
We had a nerf war where Dan became a causality of war. A lucky shot right to the eye. All is well. Next time maybe goggles though... haha

Food and games! The kids were so good at letting us adults play games! Naptimes didnt really happen. So much noise. Poor little guys. But they all did pretty well.

My mom even got the kids to decorate some ginger bread houses. Sean was more interested in eating all the candy right away. Wren liked to like the Candy and then stick it on the house. Ty Noah and Emery actually did pretty good with theirs. Strange kids. haha

Mine and Tycy's skill. Not to bad since our two year olds just wanted to eat everything.

Another Family Fun Christmas season! Bring on the New Year!

Well we Have it

I've been worrying in the back of my mind for the last little while about Max's upcoming surgery date. I knew it was coming we just hadn't heard anything except that the Dr needed to get more OR hours opened up. So I waited patiently. We haven't planned much after Christmas because we knew Max's surgery could be anytime after Jan 1.

Well on Monday I got a call from Calgary.

January 25, 2016.

That's when Max is going to have his Palate repaired.

Now I'm kinda a nervous and anxious for January to just be over. I've had a year to prepare that he would need surgery. But it's just never enough time. And now that I know the date I kinda wish I didn't. Seriously how many mixed emotions can you feel?

Time for lots of prayers! Oh and don't be offended if we don't come out and around socializing in January. Gotta keep Max healthy and away from all the flu and bugs around.

10 months

My baby is 10 months old!!! I'm just blown away.

Max has his two bottom teeth. They poked through just before his 10 month "birthday".
Gave him his first haircut. Had to get rid of the long hair into his eyes.

Trying to walk. Man that will be lovely and horrible when he does. Let's be honest packing around 23lbs is not fun.

Sleeping better again. Finally. Still a punk but we seem to have a schedule down.

Eats me out of house and home. Really. Bottomless pit. I've yet to find something he won't eat.

Talks like crazy. Mostly just ma mama muah and any form of the "m" sound. Pretty cute.

Starting to wave bye and give out the biggest slobberist kisses ever!

He's the sweetest little guy. But going to be trouble.
Love him so much! Every month is so much fun!

Santa Claus Parade

Last Saturday was the Santa Claus parade out in Fort Macleod. I figured since we live so close now it might be fun to take the boys too. Only if it wasn't freezing cold out!
It was a nice day. No wind and -5 and some sunshine!. Talk about a beauty! haha

We even stood next to the Edwards! Some friends of ours from the times we all lived in Lloyd! So fun. The boys were quite entertained with the Parade. The horses and bands mostly. Oh and Sean and the Candy. haha He caught on to the candy quite quickly. About half way through the Parade he told me he wanted to sit in the stroller and have a sucker. So I let him and he still managed to collect candy! People just walked over and gave it to him! That kid had it made!

No one froze or anything and it was a nice parade! Way to GO!

One more book

I have a love/hate relationship with bedtime. Especially when I have to do it on my own. But tonight was one of those wonderful nights that makes me so very blessed for the two little boys I have the privilege of raising and teaching.

I got Max ready first. Pajamas, bottle and blanket. I told Sean to play quietly in his room or downstairs. He said ok mom. So I snuggled into my rocking chair with my sweet little baby and rocked and sang to him while he drifted off into sleep. I cuddled him and gave him one last kiss on that precious little forehead (still sticky with something of course) he looked up at my with those sleep filled eyes and smiled and stretched out in bed off he went to sleep.

I took Sean downstairs, he had played in his room quietly while I put Max to bed, and had him clean up his toys. He actually helped. Without me having to prod and bribe him repeatedly. After the toys were cleaned up he found his favourite book, Bearenstein Bears Go Back to School and asked me to read. We still had a few minutes before bed so I read him his book plus a few more before putting the books away and climbing to bed. In his room he asked me to read If you take a Mouse to School. He even said please. And he was laying in bed all happy how could I say No? So we read and cuddled some more.

After I finished he said scripture stories please. And really you can never say no to scripture stories. They are so wonderful. He wanted the fruit story(Lehi's Dream) and the boat story. (Nephi building the boat and sailing to the promised land) he loves those two stories and asks for them every night. So we read and snuggled some more. Then of course I had to sing "the boat song". This kid sure does love stories about Nephi. It makes me so happy to have him craving the gospel those stories and songs teach.

After stories and songs it's prayer time. Which he did on his own with little prompting. He was said he was thankful for pretzels and chips and more chips. (He loves his chips) And Kolton (Lindsey and Kolton came to visit today) my friends. Mom dad max and Sean.

Then he needed lots of kisses. He just grabbed my cheeks and kissed me about twenty times. Then said goodnight mom. Love you. And blew me a kiss from the door.

I feel so blessed and loved tonight to have these two sweet little boys in my home. They are both so innocent and pure and I feel so close to my Father in Heaven on these kinds of nights. It washes away whatever crazy day I've had. I'm so blessed and so glad to know that Sean is starting to catch on to the importance of the gospel now. At 2 years old.

That moment that I know I must be doing something right.

Living in Lethbridge

I think I can finally say that we are "settled" into our new house. All the boxes are unpacked (except my books and a few basement boxes) Everything has its place (except my books) and Sean is finally starting to call it his home! YAY!

The transition over wasn't as bad as we thought for him. He just kept calling it Grandma and Grandpas house for the first while. Probably because the first people he saw there were my parents. What a kid.
Max is loving all the space he has. This house even helped him master the stairs. And we've only been here for two weeks! What else is he going to figure out? haha

We're loving the new ward. (yet again its only been two weeks) We actually know a few faces and there are actually kids in the ward! So strange! :)

Well I guess here is what you've all been waiting for. Pictures.
Excuse the chaos. I have two kids. :)
