9 months!

Sean is a crawling machine. This kid has no problem getting any where he wants. He just puts his mind to it and away he goes. He does get distracted sometimes but food on the floor or something making noise and he will veer towards that. It's pretty darn cute. He's so proud of himself. He has mastered up the stairs as well thanks to another buddy of his. One day he was just sitting at the bottom of the stairs hitting them and the next thing he was cruising up those stairs. Now we just gotta master going down. We're working on it.

He loves to pull himself up and let go and just stand all on his own. He's so proud of it too. He starts clapping or waving his arms and still maintains his balance. I would think he would start to walk any day but when I try to walk with him he takes 2-3 steps and lifts his legs so I will carry him. What a kid.

Eats any thing that he can get into his mouth. I'm actually quite surprised by the stuff he can eat. It's impressive and makes meal times pretty easy. He still has no teeth so he gums everything to death. My little toothless wonder. :)

Daniel will claim that he has started saying "da-da". and well. He kinda has. Dan is quite proud of that. He loves it when he comes home from work and Sean comes crawling over to the gate super happy and talkative.  He does say muuuu muuum when he's grumpy and whinny. I'll be more excited when he says it when he isn't crying. But I'll take what I can get with him. :) I was leaving my primary meeting the other day and said, "Say 'bye-bye' Sean" And he says, " bu bu". Don't know if it was intentional but it was so cute! Melted my heart. He's always telling some story.

Loves giving wet slobbery open mouth kisses on my chin and nose. Or just shoving my chin in his mouth and rubbing his gums on it. It's slobbery and gross but so cute. haha. He also found his tongue and loves to push it and stretch out his bottom lip. Super cute!

Likes to tell you No a lot by shaking his head. It's a new game with him and Dad to shake his head no and then give Dad hi fives. I tell ya Dan has it coming when Sean is 2 and tells him no. It's his own fault.
We are teaching him yes as well. Which he does. Just not as often as No. But that's typical.

He is still my chunky monster. He weighs 21-22 lbs. Somewhere in there. Few more months and he is going to be front facing. He's going to love it! He has slimmed down a lot since crawling but still compare him to any other kids his age and he's a monster. :) a cute one though.

I'm having a hard time with thinking that in 3 months its going to be Spring. And his first birthday. Crazy. I am loving every minute of it and even though the time has just flown by I'm not regretting a single moment. I love spending every day with him and just watching him as he learns and figures out new things. His eyes just light up and I love it! Being his Mom is the best job I have ever had!

I Love Him!

A Valentines Day Post

If you came here looking to read all about a gushy romantical day you better find someone else's blog to read.
It was an typical day in my world. Heck I forgot it was valentines day... ( as did Dan most likely).

Dan came home from work and we spent some quality time together before a babysitter came over and we went to our branch "couples night". (Which was super fun, in case you were wondering).
There were two classes taught and the a dance.
The classes were keeping things fun and fresh in a marriage, (It was PG people. Calm down) and having unity in your marriage. Both really good classes.
Then we had a dance after. What fun. It may not have been as crazy as the YSA dances but it was still pretty intense and such a good time.

Saturday we went Skiing at Tabletop in North Battlefor, Saskatchewan.
Yes ... in Saskatchewan. It was a glorified Coulee. But it was still pretty intense and enough for me to do and remember how to ski. Its been a while.
 It was a good day!

I'm so glad we have such willing friends to watch our baby for the day while we went out to play. I'm going to miss that..

Hopefully we find new friends that think our baby is cute and perfect!

Daniel kept Valentines Day going this morning by making me breakfast. :)
I may not get anything crazy romantical but him making breakfast with Sean while I shower in peace.
That about covers it for me.
I'm easy to please! :)

The Start of Something New

Well, most have heard this by now but Daniel got a new job within the same company and so... We are moving.

It started around October when CPS had finished buying and selling and jobs were opening up within the company with a chance for him to advance and grow within. So we talked and talked and finally he started applying to the ones down south that we thought would be good places to go that would bring us closer to home and family.
Now I never thought Vulcan would be that place. Or that we would be leaving in a month.
How hard it will be to say goodbye to all the wonderful friends and memories we have made.
We moved up to Lloydminster a week after we were married. It's where WE began. It's were I finished school. It's where we bought our first house and brought home our first baby. It's where we've made OUR first friends as a married couple. It has been one of the best choices we have made. To move away from our families and to start our marriage with us. It gave us a chance to grow together and lean on one another and not our families as much.
I may not have been thrilled to leave Magrath and move to Lloydminster 3 years ago. Heck up until a year ago I was still excited for the day when we would move back south. Now here the chance is and I'm scared and excited all at the same time.
It's going to be hard to leave such a wonderful "family" that we have there in Lloydminster.  We will make it work.
It's time for a new adventure for our family. A new adventure for Dan in work. It will be a new, exciting and scary change. But ....
What can ya do?

Here it comes. :)
