Last Date Night Before Baby.

Technically this would be our "Babymoon" right? Whatever it was it was a fun night out with lots of good friends and food!

We had tickets to Walk off the Earth and Marianas Trench. It was nice to be up in the box away from all the craziness! Haha but maybe being on the floor would have induced labor.... Hmmmm.

My parents watched the kids for us which my boys absolutely loved I'm sure!

It was seriously such a good night. Even baby Mason did so well! Lindsey and Brad had to bring him but he was cute so it was acceptable!

My favourite was Walk Off The Earth. They did a fantastic job with their set! I think I just like their music more. Marianas trench was good too but louder so you couldn't really hear the words just the bass. I must be getting old. Haha
I didn't get a group shot of who all was there. Dang.

Saturday shooting fun!

With all this lovely spring weather we've been having Daniel has been itching to get the tent trailer looked at and ready for when we actually go camping. Mostly just to take a look at our fridge because it stopped working at the end of last camping season. The snow we got put a damper on that but we decided to still go get it done anyway.

So we ran out to my grandparents farm and there turned out to be a lot of my cousins there as well and my kids cousins. Turned into quite a party!

Part of the plan was to do some skeet shooting too. And that we did even with all the littles running around. They did pretty good at listening and staying back. It was a super fun time and pretty spontaneous.

< 3 weeks!

Am I even ready to handle 3 boys?

Honestly no. But I was never ready for 1 or 2. But hey I figured it out and I'm sure the same will happen when this little man joins our family is less than 3 weeks.

Part of me is so excited. I can't wait to hold him for the first time right on my chest. See his beautiful eyes, nose, ears, mouth, hands and toes.

That's what's getting me through the thoughts of all the pain that comes before I get the sweet pleasure of holding him.

Babies are so sweet. And I love that I have been blessed to have 3. My heart is so full. These boys truly are going to be the best of friends growing up. It warms my heart to watch Sean and Max play so well and know they will be joined by another brother equally as loved.

Bittersweet feelings as I watch Max learn and grow and realize his days as "the baby" are ending. He's already sleeping in a big boy bed, walking, trying to eat with a fork and spoon. He's going to be such a great big brother.

Sean is already a great older brother and he's going to be even better as he gets another sibling to teach and corrupt. He's so loving and thoughtful for a two year old.

I'm already feeling nostalgic of my family of four. It's days are numbered. But hey 5 has always been my favourite number. Bring it on. :)

Hobbies

I've been asked a bit since moving here to Lethbridge what some of my hobbies are.

It's honestly kinda perplexes me. Hobby? What is that?
I took the time to look up the definition. Here's what I found: "an activity done regularly in ones leisure time for pleasure"

Simple enough right?

Well, add two almost three children. Haha what Leisure time?

Sleep counts for a hobby right?

But really what hobbies do I have? I know before kids and at the start of married life I had a lot of hobbies.
-reading
-baking
-running, biking, hiking, outdoor fun!
-going on walks
-sewing
-crafting (learning anything new.)
-playing games with friends
-playing the piano
-photography.

Now that I have just about three little boys to take care of I don't have much leisure time.

I have thought about this a lot though. What hobbies do I have now?
I come to the same conclusion. I still love everything I listed above. I just include  my kids.
My boys love books. Sean loves to help me bake. Max will clean up what I drop on the floor. The boys LOVE being outside. Sean is always asking to go to the park. They would probably never come inside if they didn't get hungry or cold. They both have to jump in when I start playing the piano. I love seeing Sean sit there and "play" the boat song and sing along.

So really while I sometimes feel like I don't have any hobbies and I'm turning into a frumpy housewife I just need to remember I still have hobbies they just include my boys now.

I guess you could say my family is my hobby now. I love doing things with my boys and teaching them new things.

(I still love my alone time too.)

So next time someone asks. Hopefully I'll be able to answer the question better than... I dunno..
 That's the goal.
