Demo Derby Weekend

I still have to blog about our banff trip. And I will. I jut rarely have time. But Sean's still sleeping so I'll do this weekend quick.

This weekend in vulcan they had tractor pulls and a demo derby. So Dan and I pulled out our redneck selves and we went. The tractor pulls were alright. There were lots of them not to super exciting but alright.
Eating some snacks while waiting for the demo derby.

Once the tractors finally gave way the demo derby started. Old beat up cars just ramming each other until they can't move anymore. It's pretty intense. Haha

Sean wasn't quite sure what to make of all the loud noises. When they were further away from us he was alright but when they got closer he wasn't so much a fan.

He took a break to watch some baby einstiens while the cars were busy hitting each other.

Gotta have a Popsicle.

So that was Saturday and also Dani's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANI!!!!

Sunday we drove out for a yummy dinner at my parents because of Dani and Shay's bdays. Shay's was Sunday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAY!!!

I made the cake. It was a neopolitian cookie cake. It was alright. I think I cooked the cakes too long because they were a bit dry but oh well people liked it.

After cake my aunt and uncle came over and we played a couple of games. I kicked butt on joke-r-ummy!!!! Woot!

Getting some love from grandma and grandpa before heading home.

Grandpa making him into a diaper nun or something. Not impressed haha.

That was our weekend. Can't wait for this one coming up. Magrath Days and then Family reunion down at echo.

I LOVE SUMMER!!

Little Bow

So today was a beautiful day! Luckily not as hot as the last few days have been but hot enough for a beach day! So we packed up our stuff and met some friends out there and just had a blast! Ahhh good summer days how I love them.
Sean was a cranky pants until we got there and he realized the had three of his favorite things.
1. being outside
2. sand
3. Water
This kid just loves being outdoors! I am quite enjoying it as well all the time we spend outside. Luckily this kid has my skin and so far just keeps tanning and getting darker. (Aunty Dani you have some competition!)

The time flew by! I didn't realize how late it was until Sean started getting a little crabby and took him to get a bottle and check the time. It was 5:00. And we got home around 6:00 so it made for a long fun day. Dinner just consisted of Subway!! Yum! We got home and Daniel had started the ductwork and finished it. YAY! now we can start drywalling. (Anybody wanna help?? I'll throw in food! :) )

Whats a beach day without some snackage!

I didn't get as many pictures because we were having to much fun just playing around!

Canada Day!

CANADA DAY

What a fun filled crazy day (as always). We made it to the parade in Raymond by the skin of our teeth. Seriously the turn off to Raymond was a bit ridiculous! Crazy Canadians! But we got there with time to spare because Dan's parents live at the end of the parade route. That was a bonus this year.
Had time to slather the kids in sunscreen and wander around for a while visiting before it all started!

Sean was quite in love with all the horses he saw! haha he'd point and say "ooh!" every time. He even liked their marching band. Mostly cause there were drums and music.
It definitely beat last years parade in the fact I wasn't too worried about over heating a baby. Last year I sat inside most the time. This time: outside ALL DAY!

horses

The Low's still hung around!

After the Parade we walked down to Reed's where they had roasted an entire pig!!!! DELICIOUS!
Then we ended up back at the Fyfe's for the bbq they have their every year. After that the Low's had to take off for Lloydminster! sad day!
but we partied on and went to Wally's with my fam for some swimming and seadoing funness! good times.
this boy LOVED the sea dos. oh my goodness. he would have road them the whole time if he could. I think I have an adrenaline junkie already!

all smiles

throwing sand... and eating it. He was so content to just sit and play by himself in all the sand

sun tanning the belly

Brad and Katelyn joined us as well. No one else was cool enough this year! :P

Weekend With The Low's!

June 27- June 30
(Canada Day is it's whole own post!)

So we were suppose to go Camping with the Low's and Hunsperger's this weekend in Banff at Lake Louise but between kids getting sick and it pouring rain the whole time the weekend got rearranged a bit. I managed to talk the Low's into still coming down. Lets face it I miss my boosum buddy. (And everyone else in Lloyd as well)
So they came down Friday!!!! Happy Day! We got some sweet gaming on once the kids were in bed. And planned Saturday. Waterton!

Let's face it. Who doesn't love a day trip to Waterton? No one I'm friends with. (I think)
We took the traditional pictures at Cameron Falls. And actually hiked the short little trail beside it. Sean liked that.
Sean walking the little trail beside Cameron Falls

Of course we had to eat some grub. I mean we were spending the entire day in Waterton! So we ate before our hike and let the kids run/crawl like crazy!

Then we hiked Bears hump. I swear it gets steeper every time I go. Man oh Man. At the same time though it feels like it gets shorter. (weird). We made it. Babies and all. Thank Goodness for Dad's who are willing to carrying them the entire way up on their backs!
Sean loved the way down strapped in the Ergo. Everytime Daniel would take a little bounce Sean would just laugh and laugh! Brightened the way up of some fellow hikers. Brightened my day. Love that kid! :)

Silly Sadie

about half way up!

I wish  i could sleep while hiking!

group shot!

Eating rocks at the top of Bear's hump!

Laughing on the way down!

After Bear's hump we went to Red Rock Canyon. woot! Saw a bear on the way there. Awesome! We walked around the canyon. Sean walked a good portion of it. This kid is an outdoor fanatic!
Then we even walked to Blakiston Falls. We did a lot of walking/hiking. Oh and we even saw a Bear as we were getting ready to leave. So close to the washrooms. I thought it would follow me in. Scary!
Okay so this is how he walked up the whole way.

Graham is such a photo bomber!

Best Buds!

This kid and his water!

Ahhhh!

Like Mother and Daughter

Bear!
After Waterton we headed to Lethbridge to get some food at BP's! Yum! And of course we all fell asleep on the way to Lethbridge. Except the driver (Daniel) of course. Good thing. Once we got back to Vulcan we let the babies just crawl and play. Man they had fun. And look so cute! :) Good times Good times

Sunday was just a kinda chill day and the Low's ran up to High River to hang out with family there. So nothing much to report.

Monday we decided on doing a beach day. We ran out to Little Bow and spent the Afternoon out there. It didn't look like it would be a nice day but once we dropped down into that coulee the wind left us alone and eventually the sun came out! It was awesome. Sean ate more sand then he could handle I think. What a kid. He was in heaven! Sadie seemed to quite enjoy herself as well. Though didn't digest as much sand!

soaking up some sun!

trying to climb onto the picnic table. I tell ya we have a monkey

had to share of course.

It's not a Fyfe/Low trip until this happens! Seriously who sleeps like that

IT was a blast having the Low's here for a weekend. Seriously just move here already! And everybody else from Lloyd! haha
