Santa Claus Parade

Last Saturday was the Santa Claus parade out in Fort Macleod. I figured since we live so close now it might be fun to take the boys too. Only if it wasn't freezing cold out!
It was a nice day. No wind and -5 and some sunshine!. Talk about a beauty! haha

We even stood next to the Edwards! Some friends of ours from the times we all lived in Lloyd! So fun. The boys were quite entertained with the Parade. The horses and bands mostly. Oh and Sean and the Candy. haha He caught on to the candy quite quickly. About half way through the Parade he told me he wanted to sit in the stroller and have a sucker. So I let him and he still managed to collect candy! People just walked over and gave it to him! That kid had it made!

No one froze or anything and it was a nice parade! Way to GO!

One more book

I have a love/hate relationship with bedtime. Especially when I have to do it on my own. But tonight was one of those wonderful nights that makes me so very blessed for the two little boys I have the privilege of raising and teaching.

I got Max ready first. Pajamas, bottle and blanket. I told Sean to play quietly in his room or downstairs. He said ok mom. So I snuggled into my rocking chair with my sweet little baby and rocked and sang to him while he drifted off into sleep. I cuddled him and gave him one last kiss on that precious little forehead (still sticky with something of course) he looked up at my with those sleep filled eyes and smiled and stretched out in bed off he went to sleep.

I took Sean downstairs, he had played in his room quietly while I put Max to bed, and had him clean up his toys. He actually helped. Without me having to prod and bribe him repeatedly. After the toys were cleaned up he found his favourite book, Bearenstein Bears Go Back to School and asked me to read. We still had a few minutes before bed so I read him his book plus a few more before putting the books away and climbing to bed. In his room he asked me to read If you take a Mouse to School. He even said please. And he was laying in bed all happy how could I say No? So we read and cuddled some more.

After I finished he said scripture stories please. And really you can never say no to scripture stories. They are so wonderful. He wanted the fruit story(Lehi's Dream) and the boat story. (Nephi building the boat and sailing to the promised land) he loves those two stories and asks for them every night. So we read and snuggled some more. Then of course I had to sing "the boat song". This kid sure does love stories about Nephi. It makes me so happy to have him craving the gospel those stories and songs teach.

After stories and songs it's prayer time. Which he did on his own with little prompting. He was said he was thankful for pretzels and chips and more chips. (He loves his chips) And Kolton (Lindsey and Kolton came to visit today) my friends. Mom dad max and Sean.

Then he needed lots of kisses. He just grabbed my cheeks and kissed me about twenty times. Then said goodnight mom. Love you. And blew me a kiss from the door.

I feel so blessed and loved tonight to have these two sweet little boys in my home. They are both so innocent and pure and I feel so close to my Father in Heaven on these kinds of nights. It washes away whatever crazy day I've had. I'm so blessed and so glad to know that Sean is starting to catch on to the importance of the gospel now. At 2 years old.

That moment that I know I must be doing something right.

Living in Lethbridge

I think I can finally say that we are "settled" into our new house. All the boxes are unpacked (except my books and a few basement boxes) Everything has its place (except my books) and Sean is finally starting to call it his home! YAY!

The transition over wasn't as bad as we thought for him. He just kept calling it Grandma and Grandpas house for the first while. Probably because the first people he saw there were my parents. What a kid.
Max is loving all the space he has. This house even helped him master the stairs. And we've only been here for two weeks! What else is he going to figure out? haha

We're loving the new ward. (yet again its only been two weeks) We actually know a few faces and there are actually kids in the ward! So strange! :)

Well I guess here is what you've all been waiting for. Pictures.
Excuse the chaos. I have two kids. :)

My kitchen! I love this! Favorite room in the house!

Front Living room/entrance. Kitchen is on the left.

Dining room. Complete with Carpet! :)

He's so proud he's mastered that one step between the living room and dining room

And on to the bigger stairs!

It's quite a nice house! We have a decent backyard. Those pictures will come in the spring when we're actually out there. I even have an apple tree in my yard!!!! oh the joys! :) Yummmm!

Well that is our little home. Though it really isn't so little. We have so much room! I love it! Come Visit! :)

Sean 2 1/2

I figured I should probably update on my Sean boy since I don't do regular updates like I used to for the first year of his life.

He is getting to be such a fun kid. I love him more everyday. In our new house he is starting to figure out how to open doors on his own. I'm kinda torn about that. Means I can't keep him out of stuff by simply shutting a door much longer. But it does also mean I can send him to go entertain Max when Max wakes up. I often find him in Max's crib and the two of them just laughing together. oh it melts my heart.

He's enjoying saying YUCK after I kiss him and making a big exaggerated motion of wiping it off. But then a little bit later he says I need a kiss and holds my face between his two sticky hands and kisses me over and over.

HE LOVES reading. I got some Robert Munsch and Doctor Suess books from the library and had to read them on repeat. GUess what needs to be on his Christmas list?

When I call him by his full name, Sean Gregory Fyfe he likes to say I'm not a greggy Fyfe I'm a big boy!

His new phrase that drives me batty is, " I'm to big for______" a tubby, my bed, downstairs, my chair. He uses it when he's super tired. And I can't really get anything through his head. I just have to console him by saying it's okay we're not getting in the tub, we're not going downstairs. Or i just let MAx touch something of his and we're on to a new tantrum. on top of the other one. Kinda humorous and exhausting all at once.

Still super obsessed with his blanky. Seriously the kid might just be taking it with him to college. :) Some days he'll share it with Max and others. There is no stinking way!

9 months

I realize I am a tad bit behind on blogging but our world has been a little insane!! Packing, moving, unpacking and all the other little details. But I have a moment now while Sean is entertaining Max at the table by licking a spoon. They are awesome.

This little pudge is 9 months old!! Been out in this world as long as he was in! Amazing to see how far they come!

Max has the greatest little personality. He's so happy but oh does he let you know when he's tired or hungry. He definitely has some serious vocal cords when he wants to.

He's figured out how to actually crawl. Not just army scoot anymore. He still decides he's faster army crawling though. He's pulling himself up to standing and he gets so proud and let's go to clap for himself and falls on his butt and repeat.

Way better at eating now and not gagging/choking on food. He's figured out this while chewing sensation.

His best friend is still definitely Sean. Followed closely by mom and dad.

He is such a flirt. Oh at church this little ham just flirts with everyone in RS.

He still isn't sleeping through the night which is kinda frustrating. He wakes up at about 4 to drink a 4oz bottle and sleep till 7. Gotta kill that habit.

He's still around the 20-21lb mark. Slimming down from all the crawling. Loving his new car seat though and the room it offers him.

Started waving goodbye and giving the best slobbery kisses right in your face.

I love this little guy. It's kinda crazy how much I love the two kids. It's a good sign to know this third baby will be as loved too. No matter how exhausted I am going to be. :) Sean's still wishing for a sister. And tells me max wants a sister too. Haha

Halloween 2015

With all the craziness of packing and moving going on and of course everything else all at once we ended up spending Halloween weekend out in Magrath at my parents. Saturday morning I actually got to leave the boys with Daniel and my parents and take off to have a girl's afternoon with Lindsey and Phoenix!
It was so wonderful. We went to IHOP for brunch and then went to the Enmax Center to watch the Skate Canada performances. It was Awesome. They are so talented and skilled! So fun! We watched the ladies free skate and half of the free dance pairs as well. So cool! It would have been fun to stay longer but those seats aren't the comfiest. haha.

I got home and Sean showed me all his cool treats he had gotten from the Centre Village Mall party they had going on for kids and families. Greg and my Mom took him and Max. It was Greg's idea though! :) Sean had a blast and ate WAY to much sugar. haha He didn't want to eat dinner and was kinda a bear later. (thanks Greg!)

Dinner time came around and I tried to convince Sean for an hour to eat some dinner so we could go trick or treating. It was such a fight and two year old drama fest that I gave up. When Daniel got back from reffing hockey he was able to convince Sean to eat food and get his costume on! Wonders.
We just took them to Raymond to see the Grandparents over there and then came back to my Mom's. The boys were wiped. And I didn't take any pictures. FAIL! haha Here's the costumes though

A scary DRAGON!

My cute little monkey! 1st Halloween!

I got him this Lion costume too but it was small.

picking his wedgie!

It was a little bit of a drama fest Halloween with the boys and Me all just getting over being sick. Oh well. I'm not much of a fan of Halloween anyway. Till Next year!

Baby #3

I figured it's about time that I update on here that baby Fyfe #3 is coming in April!

Little surprising but not entirely. Just earlier than we thought. Way earlier!!

Sean's excited. He likes to tell me that he wants a sister. Every once in a while he says brother then says, no Max. I want a sister!!

It'll be cute to see him. He's such a great big brother already! It'll be interesting to see what Max does. He'll only be 14 months. Basically two little babies. Golly I'm insane!

This little one is due to come April 2016. Another spring baby. Fun fun!

Morning sickness has been a little tortuous this time around. Not near as bad as Sean but definitely worse than Max. I'm 14 weeks now and it's finally easing up!! I still have days if the boys are super stinky and I forget to eat or get to busy.
Starting to feel some kicks and movements and definitely starting to get a little bump showing. I can still lay on my belly though! But those days are dwindling.

It's all pretty fantastic. :)
