Dinosaur Fun!

This Saturday we had a free day with nothing planned and because Spring is starting to show it's face I'm getting antsy to start crossing things off our summer bucket list. So on this beautiful Saturday we went to Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell Museum.

We told Sean that we were going to go to the Dinosaur Park! Dan even taught him to chant, "Dinosaur Park, Dinosaur Park, Dinosaur Park!!" It is pretty darn cute! He was so excited!

Once we got to Drumheller and saw all the dinosaurs around the town he was getting super excited. He loved them all! Man he was excited and happy!

We got to the museum and loaded up Max in the stroller and walked in. They have the pathway lined with dinosaurs and Sean was in heaven!

And of course the first thing you see in the museum is a T-Rex. We stood here for probably 20 mins. No joke. Sean was just enchanted. "touch it?" "big dinosaur" "Rawr" were just a few of the phrases repeated over and over.

Checking out a T-Rex tooth they found. We even got to hold it and touch it. You can see Sean pointing to his teeth. I think he was impressed the dinosaur had such big teeth!

This wall of bubbles Sean could have stood at the whole trip. The lights change colors and Sean had a great time saying, "yellow bubbles, blue bubbles. geen bubbles."

They have fake "aquariums" with fossils and bones and the floor is just the plexi glass. It took a lot of coaxing to get Sean on the floor.  He would just stand on the black beams.
He was still pretty weirded out by it though. Daniel practically had to carry him.
Poking a fossil in the eyes.
 Dinosaur!
How tall we are compared to a mid sized "long neck". And thats just his legs!

Here is where he started calling all the little dinosaurs. puppy-saurus. haha don't know where he got it from but super cute!

A soft shelled turtle named Shelly
Sean loved this turtle. We even came back a second time to watch the turtle swim around

After we were done exploring in there we went out to have lunch, It did take some coaxing to get Sean outta the Museum though. But food always wins with this kid. Sadly it was raining when we came out so we picnic in the back of the car. What a blast!

Thank goodness for trunk space!
The rain did go away so we got a chance to play on the awesome playground!

Of course Mommy and Daddy had to go with Sean a couple of times till he got the hang of it!

Then of course we had to stop at the World's Largest Dinosaur! It cost to walk up it. I don't remember it costing when I was young and went. But we paid the small fee anyway. Probably won't do that again till the kids are older and will enjoy it more. It was super windy out so the T-Rex was a rocking!!

Cute Dino toe jam!

Then you also have to go see the Suspension bridge. It's pretty sweet and sways pretty good. I got Daniel to bounce walk at the end and freak out some tourists just getting on. We're mean like that

We had so much fun! We should all sleep well tonight! There are so many other things to do in Drumheller as well. We've decided we still have to go back this summer and explore some other areas Drumheller has to offer.

So fun!

2 months

Well just like Max's pregnancy went by faster so is his little life. Slow down lil dude!!!

I figured I would update while the boys sleep there is even one sleeping on my lap now.
Cute hey???

This little fatso is 12lbs!!! I'm so proud of every ounce this boy gains!!! Makes him that much healthier and stronger!!!

His sleeping however I'm not always a fan of. The nights where he does a 6 & 2 hour schedule is a beauty.
The nights he does a 4&4 aren't too bad. The nights he does a 3&3&3 are exhausting. His sleeping is a little sporadic and skattered. But he sleeps we sleep and life goes on.

He coos and smiles a lot. Mostly for daddy though. Takes more effort for mom to get them out.

Sean still adores this little guy! They even play the same games with grandpa sometimes.
Grandpa did this to Sean at this age.  Earliest he's ever done it to a baby. Well Sean holds the record at 6 weeks. Max was 7 weeks.... But he didn't do it as well ... Skinny babies.... :)

We've had some other fun to. An Easter hunt at a park in Vulcan. Sean had fun. So did Max all bundled up next to mom.

He enjoyed the hunt for 2mins and the park for about 30mins. Haha. He loves it when all the kids were hunting and he had the park to himself.

Well. I still have to take his 2 month photos. I'll do that Sunday. :) Saturday we are going to drumheller! Sean is going to love it!! More updates to come! Until then enjoy this picture.

Baby Blessing

We blessed Max this Sunday at church.

We had quite the turn out for family showing up. Basically we double the size of our ward. Not to hard to accomplish though. :)

We got there nice and early which was good and let me visit with a few friends/family that got there early.

I think its a fun time to gather and to just celebrate again how wonderful it is to bring new life to this world. It's such hard work and so rewarding. (I try to remember that amid blow outs and screaming/whinning.)

Luckily before church started I managed to sneak my boys away so that we could get a family picture without 60 billion cameras at our faces making the job 100x harder.
I love my boys and the fact I am completely out numbered. It's so fun.

yes the boys have matching ties. :)
Daniel, his 2 brothers, and Grandpa, My Dad, the Bishop, Marc, Brad, Dallas, were all in the circle to be a part of blessing this sweet little Max. Daniel blessed him and it was wonderful to feel the spirit and know of Heavenly Father's love for this little baby and to know that Max is here for a purpose and I am blessed to be his Mother and to raise him and teach him about our Savior and the gospel here on Earth. Some days it seems like such a daunting task and one I could never do. But I'm blessed to have a wonderful companion to help and to have the Savior looking out for me and never leaving me alone.

We had lunch after for the family and friends that came out. Pulled Pork. It's basically Daniel's and my go to for big family dinners because it's cheap and easy. :)  And of course a pot luck so every one contributed something.

It was a good time and completely exhausting. So exhausting we got home and Daniel had a nap. I feed the little and Sean sat next to me as we watched Full House. He thinks Michelle is funny. So do I! haha. Then after a couple episodes I gave Dan the baby and took Sean on a nice long walk! I think everyone slept well last night. :)

Now it's time for just a picture overload! I just emptied my phone so I could take more pictures! Man it sure does fill up fast when you have cute kids!
Riding the cart at Canadian Tire. He thought he was so clever!

Lunch at Costco. Fries and Pizza and juice! Oh and Ice cream! Heaven for this little boy

Children's Hospital Trip #2

So Max and I went back to Calgary today for his follow up appointments.

He had to get some blood taken for a genetic test they want to do to see if his cleft is genetic or not. Should be interesting to get those results.

The nurse weighed him at his appointment before seeing all the doctors and he was a whopping 9lbs 15oz. The nurse was blown away! Haha I was just mad he wasn't actually 10lbs. Haha stinker. I'm sure he is by now.

Most of the appointment was to see if I had any concerns or questions. Which I really didn't. Talked a bit about feeding him solids when the time comes. It'll be fun. His food shouldn't come out his nose by then. A little but not a ton. That'll be interesting.

When he goes in for the surgery is when he gets close to talking (9-15 mos) and depends on his size and if he has any health concerns or issues. They said on average it's around 12 months. That makes me feel good. Knowing he'll be older. His weight gain is good! Everything is right on track! :) I've got smart kids!!

Best thing is we don't have to go back for a follow up until August!!! :) YAY!
We do go back sometime in May to get his ear tubes put in. Other than that we don't have to go to Calgary unless we have a concern!

As much as I hate pumping because it's so exhausting I'm so grateful that what I produce is giving Max everything he needs to grow so strong and healthy!!! One month of pumping down several to go!!! But days like today make it all worthwhile!

(First FaceTime cousin date!)

Play date!!!

I love that friends from lloydminster followed us down south!!! :) we're that cool. We finally got together and had a play date for our boys!!!
They had so much fun! Sean kept asking for Yann and Marc today! I guess we'll have to get them to play again Graz!
