Dinosaur Fun!

This Saturday we had a free day with nothing planned and because Spring is starting to show it's face I'm getting antsy to start crossing things off our summer bucket list. So on this beautiful Saturday we went to Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell Museum.

We told Sean that we were going to go to the Dinosaur Park! Dan even taught him to chant, "Dinosaur Park, Dinosaur Park, Dinosaur Park!!" It is pretty darn cute! He was so excited!

Once we got to Drumheller and saw all the dinosaurs around the town he was getting super excited. He loved them all! Man he was excited and happy!

We got to the museum and loaded up Max in the stroller and walked in. They have the pathway lined with dinosaurs and Sean was in heaven!

And of course the first thing you see in the museum is a T-Rex. We stood here for probably 20 mins. No joke. Sean was just enchanted. "touch it?" "big dinosaur" "Rawr" were just a few of the phrases repeated over and over.

Checking out a T-Rex tooth they found. We even got to hold it and touch it. You can see Sean pointing to his teeth. I think he was impressed the dinosaur had such big teeth!

This wall of bubbles Sean could have stood at the whole trip. The lights change colors and Sean had a great time saying, "yellow bubbles, blue bubbles. geen bubbles."

They have fake "aquariums" with fossils and bones and the floor is just the plexi glass. It took a lot of coaxing to get Sean on the floor.  He would just stand on the black beams.
He was still pretty weirded out by it though. Daniel practically had to carry him.
Poking a fossil in the eyes.
 Dinosaur!
How tall we are compared to a mid sized "long neck". And thats just his legs!

Here is where he started calling all the little dinosaurs. puppy-saurus. haha don't know where he got it from but super cute!

A soft shelled turtle named Shelly
Sean loved this turtle. We even came back a second time to watch the turtle swim around

After we were done exploring in there we went out to have lunch, It did take some coaxing to get Sean outta the Museum though. But food always wins with this kid. Sadly it was raining when we came out so we picnic in the back of the car. What a blast!

Thank goodness for trunk space!
The rain did go away so we got a chance to play on the awesome playground!

Of course Mommy and Daddy had to go with Sean a couple of times till he got the hang of it!

Then of course we had to stop at the World's Largest Dinosaur! It cost to walk up it. I don't remember it costing when I was young and went. But we paid the small fee anyway. Probably won't do that again till the kids are older and will enjoy it more. It was super windy out so the T-Rex was a rocking!!

Cute Dino toe jam!

Then you also have to go see the Suspension bridge. It's pretty sweet and sways pretty good. I got Daniel to bounce walk at the end and freak out some tourists just getting on. We're mean like that

We had so much fun! We should all sleep well tonight! There are so many other things to do in Drumheller as well. We've decided we still have to go back this summer and explore some other areas Drumheller has to offer.

So fun!
