Delays...

So,
Almost time to move into my house.
Guess what we don't have yet...
the corner cupboard..

apparently it was ordered on the 10th.
when I was there to re order it in August.
and now the shipping company misplaced there tracking labels.

So
my cupboard may be in China. (awesome)

So,
What are the plans you may wonder?

Hope and Pray my cupboard shows up before the 20th.

So,
we can get moved in by the 22nd.

So,
I Can have the trailer cleaned the following week.

I'm done with my life in the trailer.
I want my new house we have worked so hard on.

So,

CUPBOARD PLEASE COME!

Organized Chaos

I woke up this morning and I had butterflies flying around in my tummy. That's how excited/nervous I was for the first day of school. I got out the door by 8:05 and everything was perfect. I was about a block away when I hit some severe traffic. I'm talking I was stuck in my car for ten minutes in front of the school! How lame. I'm tardy for my first day of school! (someone shoulda warned me about the traffic! sheesh) Then I finally make it into the parking lot and the car in front of me starts backing up....and just kept going. I looked behind me saw the all clear and backed up like two feet... but the front car just kept backing up. I honked and they still hit me!!!!!!! IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT! (I swear there is a target on my car)

Luckily nothing happened to my poor Stanley. just a little dent under his eye. (some people's kids) So I walked into the school 10 minutes late. Luckily I wasn't the only one. There were a few teachers too who got stuck in the traffic jam!

Got to the room and there are kids galore.

Never noticed this as a kid but on the first day of school the teachers are so out of it! you have no idea what to expect and it's just organized chaos! (exactly). Why the students don't take advantage of it= they are soi excited to be back at school and to be with their teacher! :P HAH! bring on the next week when its not so fun anymore.

Anyway. Made it through the morning. Unpacked supplies. walked the school. had an assembly. Recess. Snack. Lunch!

After lunch I am in a different Grade 4 room. Working one on one with a student.

To sum the afternoon up .... I felt like I was drowning.

Luckily I got lots of help... After school... And we should be able to make it through tomorrow better then today!

:)

...ps tomorrow is Hump Day... is it sad i'm already looking forward to the weekend on Day 1? :P

An Update! :)

Summer is passing way to quickly, but I am ready to start working and making money and all that fun. :)
We've about filled our summer quota of adventures and going places and we've done a pretty good job I'd say.
Now we just gotta get this house done so that we can move in! We're kinda down to the wire of it all.
We got the kitchen cupboards! They arrived and I am SO HAPPY! we only have to send one piece back that the moving guys wrecked. jerks. So we gotta wait for that piece to come back  in. Which gives us the time we need to rip up the floors and put the new stuff down. SO CLOSE!
kitchen in boxes!

The Bathroom is ready to go.. almost. It's all the last minute details like
-caulking
-wipeing off the last of the grout haze
-getting the sink to drain
-putting the tub fixtures on
-sealing the grout
-painting
and it's good to go!
Can not wait to move! It seems like it is taking forever though! But thats what happens when you do reno's by yourself to save money. It'll look great! :) eee!

SNEAK PEAK!

Don't they look BEAUTIFUL!

That was totally WICKED!

You know how this kid's mind is just totally blown away after the Incredibles use their powers to save jack-jack? So was my mind blown when we saw Wicked.

We have been planning this trip for a year. It's so weird that it has come and gone so quickly. We left on 10th and didn't get back till the 18th. AWESOME!
We went down to Utah. Spent some time with family and a week ago (yes on sunday) we went to WICKED! It was so amazing! I would go and spend the money again in a heartbeat!

The Stand of Souvenirs they sold. Wicked expensive. haha
We spent a few more days after in Utah. Time with Tycy, Stefan, Emery, and Shay. It was a blast! especially the Nickel Arcade. (someone needs to bring one to canada specifically Lloyd) Emery was so CUTE! There was this machine that was filled with rubber balls and he just kept looking into one trying to figure out how he could get one. Dan had already dropped a few coins into one but couldn't get anything with the claw. so i figured i'd give it a try. Go figure I actually get one out. Emery was so excited!! haha chewed and slobbered all over it to no end. ADORABLE!
Riding on a ride at the nickel Arcade with Auntie Shay

trying to dance with some random stranger. haha

Of course we went to Temple Square. What's Utah without it? PS check that goal off my bucket list of going inside. Cha-CHING! :)

Then, after all the fun in Utah we headed to Montana. Echo Lake to be exact. I love that place. It was awesome cause we got to spend some time with family and I got to meet a few other members of Dan's family that I haven't met. We went boating and tubing and water skiing. ALL DAY! TWO WHOLE DAYS! that's my kind of vacation!

Aleena showing us all up with her skills

Dan's Uncle Mike

he kinda just stayed in the water most the time. :)

Daniel giving it a shot for his first time

Pretty skilled

AWESOME wipe out eh? he's completely parallel with the board. OUCH

And me.

I spent my fair share of time in the water too

I'm pretty skilled. :P

or not.
ok. and just cause someone will spill the beans on it anyway. I got up out of the water and got going, doing pretty swell too. I kinda felt like i was going to biff it (even though those on the boat didn't see it) so i weighed my options. wipeing out HURTS! but if you just plug your nose and release you just sink in the water. So that's what i did in the above picture. :)

Here's more Pictures for ya.

Daniel, Aleena, Mike

kinda looks like Dan pushed Uncle Mike off

SUBMARINE!

preparing for Uncle Tony's crazy driving skills

Me, Daniel, Aleena (falling off. haha)

happy birthday to me. (i fell off soon after)

Ain't we cute?

Aleena being brave

Scared outta our pants
You may wonder how I felt the next morning.... lets just say I wasn't moving so well. :P

After all this fun at Echo it was so hard to leave and come back up home (especially when you know you have to speak on sunday)

We raced against time (Literally) to the Carway border with six minutes to spare. We're cool like that. Spent some time with my family in Magrath (at Jensen's Resivoir) before coming back to Lloyd.

We're sore and burnt but it was a vacation that was totally WICKED! :)

Wow. :)

Where to begin...

So I was texting my sister ... umm yesterday and she was all disappointed in my lack of blogging skills. haha well... two week vacation and coming home to babysit and do house renos you kinda put the blog on the back burner.

Let's see...
Phoenix came up after Canada day and spent two weeks with us. On her Birthday July 11 we  got to go see some Carly Rae Jepsen here in Lloyd. pretty awesome.

My parents came up July 13-15 to help out with some work to be done. We got all the plugs changed out for newer ones. Put a ceiling light in. bashed out a wall, tore apart the bathroom, painted and ordered a kitchen. (Bad idea to have your parents around... they like helping me spend my money too much. :P ) Quite a successful weekend.
Greg had lots of fun taking out this wall

TADA! all gone

Mom all pooped out and we hadn't really even begun

taking a break and do some tree clipping

exhausted after painting my living room

The downstairs Bathroom

Right exhausted while we were buying the kitchen

Then after this fun weekend I spent some time down south with my family doing absolutely nothing!!!!!!!!  It was great!  I got to catch up with some friends that I hadn't seen in FOREVER! and saw lots of family! it was awesome! bonfires and all!!!
Daniel meanwhile in the first week I was down was at D-camp. basically hockey referee camp. he had fun. they worked them to the bone! haha he was so exhausted and I didn't hear much from him that week cause they had them running from sun up to sun down. But he loved it and it put him all in the mood to really get in shape. haha we'll see how long that lasts.
isn't he handsome?
At the end of the second week I was so ready to see my husband and head home. but of course Daniel had to come down for Magrath Days. the best part??? LAWN MOWER RACES! oh good ole red neck fun. haha it was awesome!
We ran into lots a friends and hung out! No pictures. I had too much fun and forgot about my camera!

We came home and Daniel's parents showed up the next day! haha Gerald (dan's Dad) helped him with the plumbing stuff we needed done on that downstairs bathroom. it is now all ready to be drywalled and tiled!!! We are so close to being done! YAY!

That's it for the catch up!
