July!

July wasn't as crazy busy as it normally is.

We started the Month off with the Canada Day celebrations at Dan's parents house. The kids had a blast watching the Parade. It was nice to because it wasn't a million degrees out. and we didn't die of heat! The boys played with their cousins after the parade and we enjoyed a good BBQ. We had brought the dirtbike out so we let some kids ride it in the school field across the street!
After we went to Brad and Lindsey's and rode it some more and ate some more food. Good times all around.

For my Birthday this year I took the kids to the coaldale Splash park. It was a beautiful Day and the Hollands joined us! Dan surprised me just as I was getting ready to leave and brought with him a yummy chocolate cake! Then we ran to Magrath and got our trailer loaded and dropped the kids off with Aunty Phoenix and we ran to Payne lake to set up the camper and then we went to Twin Butte for some Delicious Mexican Food.

Then we met up with our kiddos at Payne Lake and spent the rest of the weekend camping with the Parker Clan. The boys had a blast being able to run where ever they wanted and play with some new faces. Paige got her first sunburn.
It was a fun weekend.

OUr Anniversary we ran out to Moxies in the evening. Always a good time.. White chocolate Brownie. YUM.
We snuck up To the Calgary Zoo as well. The boys loved all of it! It gets more fun every year the older they get!

They got to go bridge jumping for the first time. We've gone a couple of times since and they love it! Sean and Max. Evan not so much.

Took a day trip and went to Park Lake with a friend. Another good day spent.
We caught a gopher in our back yard eating all our lettuce. The boys thought it was a pet. But they didn't get to keep it.

A few parks and a lots of bike rides! I love that the two older boys are so good on their bikes! Evan while be a pro in no time. :)

We attempted to let the boys try mutton busting. Sean did it and fell off and got a mouth ful of dirt. He cried loud enough that Max was too scared to try. Maybe we'll have a better attempt next year.

Dan and I and the Griffiths ran in the Muddy Warrior Race in Cardston. It was so fun. and just proved how out of shape I am. But it was a blast and I really need to get back running! It was good for my Physical and Mental health.

Spent the rest of the Day at Magrath Days. Which is always a good time. We camped in our trailer at my parents house.

One of the nights in the trailer the Max and Evan got put to bed and they decided it was a good idea to dump water all over the trailer floor. OUr trailer was a swimming pool for a while. We turn off the water pump every time we leave them in there now.

Max/Paige/Mom's Check Ups in Calgary

Max had his yearly check up in June as well for his cleft palate. We had to prepare him for this one because before he was so young and didn't understand where we were going or for what. So we told him when he was born he was missing the top of his mouth. He saw special Doctors and had a special bottle and just before his first birthday he had surgery and the doctors fixed his mouth. He thinks that's so cool.
I was worried that he would be so stubborn and it would be a horrible appointment with him fighting people and screaming and crying but he did so good! I think the prep before hand helped him out. He opened his mouth when they asked and spoke to them. He had one freak out with the dentist when she wanted to check out his teeth and she was "brushing" them. Luckily it wasn't to big and he realized it was all okay.
He kinda "graduated" from them. He was deemed as too healthy for them. So we shouldn't have to go back for a couple years now!
The ENT is worried about one ear. He has some fluid build up in one of his ears so he needs another hearing test done and a possible Ear tube surgery if it doesn't correct itself. Other than that Max is doing great! Yay for one less Calgary trip!!!

Paige had an EEG this same day we were up there. They wanted her to sleep for it. So we kept her up WAY past naptime. Man was she cranky. She yelled at them while they attached all the wires to her head. But zonked out when the lights went out. The tech said she hit deep sleep so fast! But it was so mean because they only let her sleep for 30 mins and then they had me wake her up. She was not pleased with me. But she slept all the way home. So that was a win.
Tired Baby!
I went up again about 4-5 weeks later for her follow up. She also passed! No seizure activity in her head! It could still be possible. There were some abnormal readings at the back left of her head. Nothing that concerned them to much. Could be nothing. Or could turn into something later. Which is why they will keep watching her. She'll have another EEG in December. At least I know what to expect for that now.
They were also so pleased developmentally how she is doing and the milestones she is hitting. Technically even though she is turning 5 months old she is really only 4 months old because she was born a month early. But she's getting right on track! We even have some really good head control going on! She's getting it! This is one tough girl!

Also in that trip to Calgary I went and saw my eye specialist. I also graduated too! My eye is stable enough that I can just continue with follow ups from Doctor Leishman. YAY!

It made for a long Day in Calgary.
