7 months! Where is the time going??

WHOA! Slow down lil man! Somehow I kinda forgot he would be 7 months. I was still just saying, "Oh he's 6 months old". Gulp. He's seven months! YIKES!

I love this kid more and more each day! Especially now that we have seemed to figure out a nice routine that results in full nights sleep again! He is also my child that will have nothing to do with store bought puree's. He wants what we're having. He doesn't care if I blend it but he wants the good stuff! Smart kid.

We went to his 6month immunizations a week ago and he was a whooping 19lbs and 14oz. At the rate he's going... He's 20lbs by now. The skinny lil chunk! Seriously he is the longest baby ever!!! He's also at the stage where he gets grumpy on his belly/back/butt because he can't quite crawl. He's SOOOOOO close he has no idea. It makes me laugh watching him roll and wiggle and plank and get so close!! One day one day.

He speaks. Says. mama mama mama ALL DAY LONG! and laughs and screams and babbles other nonsense just because he likes the sound of his own voice I'm sure! He is the happiest kid! So easy to make him laugh and smile! So easy! (Except when taking pictures. Then he's like a stone wall.)  He just loves everything!

The bald spot on the back on his head is finally growing in. And it's brown! haha Looks like he'll be my dark baby! Poor Sean. haha Speaking of Sean. Those two boys of mine are the best friends EVER! The play so well and Sean helps Max out a lot. It just melts my heart. Ya they still tease and bug each other but happily. and mostly Sean. Max just tries to eat him. haha.

He has an appointment up in Calgary at the end of the month for them to re-evaluate/check up on him. I think they will be pleased.. :) I know I am. I'm so proud of this kid and all that he is doing! We should know more about Palate surgery after this check up I think. Probably still around the year mark.

Love this Kid!!! :)

Another new adventure!

Yes that is our house here in Vulcan. Some of you may have heard rumors of this and others nothing at all. The truth of the matter we were trying to keep it hush hush until we knew everything our selves.

Dan got another sales job out in Fort Macleod. He starts October 1!!

The housing market is pretty slow here in Vulcan so we figured we'd get a jump start by gettin it on the market a soon as we can. Don't worry, we're not moving until the house sells. Dan may have a longer commute until then. Well and once he finally moves out to Fort Macleod we are looking at buying a house in West Lethbridge.

So that's our big adventure. It all seems like a mess right now still but everything is falling into place. Slowly.... But surely.

We're going to miss Vulcan and all the friends we've made in the time we've been here. Just don't write us off yet because we are still here!!!!

6 months!

My little Max man is 6 months old!

He's growing up super fast!

Faster than Sean.

At six months he:

  • Is so close to crawling he gets quite grumpy that he can't.
  • eating solids but can't make up his mind what he likes besides rice cereal.
  • really loves his bottles.
  • not sleeping through the night anymore. wakes up anywhere between 2-6 for another bottle and then he's back to sleep till about 7:30.
  • He's huge. this is the longest baby EVER! he hits a new month marker and instantly he outgrows the clothes he was wearing a week ago. Insane.
  • LOVE LOVE LOVES Sean. The two of them are best buds!
  • LOVES his jolly jumper. I leave him in there for what seems like hours at a time! Crazy child!

Family Reunion

This year the Parker Family Reunion was held in Island Park Idaho. Great camp ground! lots of trees and shade!

We left the Saturday before the Reunion to break up the 8 hour drive for the boys. We were planning on driving half-way, camping for two days and then heading the rest of the way the Monday. We'll through a couple of glitches we ended up stopping Saturday night in the Walmart Parking lot of Helena, Mt. And it took us 8 hours to get there instead of 4. Yikes.
Daniel was pretty sick of the back of Greg's trailer let me tell you!

In the Walmart parking lot we met with quite a few of the Parker clan and ended up having a pre- reunion party. Exciting! It was some fun times despite being woken up by a street sweeper at 4AM!!!! rude!!!

Sunday morning we got up and went to church and then took off for Ennis where we camped at an RV campground with running water and showers! AWESOME!
We even checked out the hot springs in Norris. Sean and Max both loved them!
We even were so lucky at this camp ground to be woken up by a lawn mower at 6:45/7ish. FANTASTIC! who mows the lawn that early? I mean really.

Monday we headed out to our reunion. Once we got there I have to say I think we got the best site! shade all day long! nothing much happened Monday but setting up and everyone just showing up.
Tuesday thanks to Delbert we woke up to horns honking and chain saws. DIRT-BAG!!

Tuesday we all packed up and head to Yellowstone. It was a nice and hot day. Especially with all the added heat from the Geysers.
We got up to Old Faithful just in time to watch her explode! It was nice we didn't have to wait around. Then we had to go hunting down my parents because they had the food and the kids were hungry. By the time we found them there was about another 20 mins till Old Faithful was suppose to blow again so we hung around to see that. Sean did enjoy it.
After she blew again we walked around all the boardwalks around all the other geysers in the area all the way to "morning Glory..." I think. But we did get back in time for Old Faithful to blow one more time! WOW!  We went and got some icecream and as we were coming out there were all the crowds around her. We decided not to hang around again. So we left. Three times was enough in one day. haha. The boys were pretty wiped so we just drove straight back to camp.

6 months old!

Old Faithful

Grandpa also taught Sean to call these Geysers Pumba Farts.

Max slept the whole walk! We were both a sweaty mess when he woke up!

Wednesday we played the annual Parker Amazing Race and thank goodness this year we didn't have to drink/taste/ingest anything nasty! YAY!

We decided we also needed to take this day and go swimming and get rid of all the yucky sweat and filth that had accumulated on us. So we went down to the river!

Baby in a BOX!

Napping with Grandpa

All Clean!
One of the brothers brought their rope making stuff so we all got to spend some time making ropes. Daniel loved it.

The kids even had some fun. Boys vs Girls tug of war!

Thursday we went back to Yellowstone to this awesome swimming hole. Firehole Falls. Nice and warm and the kids loved it! Fun for all! Cliff jumping, rapid floating, swimming. Whatever! So nice! and no one got cold because it was nice and warm!

We also had the annual "Raffle" This year instead of quilts it was gift baskets donated by each sibling family. So Ours was a games basket with some Canadian paraphernalia in it as well.
It was fun! Daniel and I actually managed to win some baskets too! AWESOME! Mom bought the grandsons that were there little "light sabers". They sure had a blast.

Friday we packed up and headed out. We stopped at Holter Lake and camped there for the night. Made Daniel and Awesome birthday dinner and cake! (Happy 27th babe!) Then moved on Saturday for home. We were all so done and exhausted.
It was a very fun and long week! I'm done in for camping this year. We've been home for over a week now.. and we still need to clean out the camper.... oh boy.
