Stephen Family Reunion 2014

Well this reunion has been in the making for a while now. I had mentioned it a long time ago to his grandparents and somehow from their Daniel and I and Amanda were put in charge. I think we did a Fabulous job if I say so. Everyone had fun and their were no major sunburns or accidents. Oh wait. Ryder did get stitches. That'll come later.

So this reunion was set to start Monday July 28 and go till Thursday July 31. Everyone was pretty much at Tony's cabin on Echo by Sunday. I guess people were pretty darn excited. For the most part everyone fit into Tony and Sassa's cabin. Some brought their trailers and a few ran to another cabin when they saw how many crying babies there would be at night. (haha) But we all fit!

So Monday we started out the reunion right. We announced to Daniel's family about baby #2. And then we started everything out right by going boating!

The next pictures that follow depict our wipe out. So Kenzie had pushed off Uncle Dan. Dan then climbed back onto the tube but sat on the nose of the tube. So when Tony started pulling the tube decided to submarine. I grabbed onto the hook of Sean's life jacket while Daniel grabbed his butt and boosted him into the air. Well I only saw the tube coming up and hitting Sean in my head. So I grabbed Sean and jumped off the tube with him. He came up spluttering and whinning a little. Once he had sufficiently gotten rid of the water in his nose I asked him if that was fun. His response? clapping and saying YAY. haha cute kid. We got him back on the tube later and he loved it. So not to traumatized.

All's good!

 There were so many tubing wipe outs after this I just can't get all the pictures up! I would be here for ten years and you guys would be here for about as long! It was a fun day and Sean just LOVED the boat. It was hard to get him off. haha
We got back to the cabin around 7:00 just in time for dinner and then straight to bed for Sean.

Tuesday

This day started out with a delicious breakfast thanks to the Mike and Leisa group.
Then we had the Amazing Race thanks to my MIL Cindy who did an awesome job and is forever stuck as our Amazing Race creator.

Everyone had a blast! I had a blast running a booth! haha I will vounteer for one every time! Maybe I'll race one year...
Then of course after lunch we went back to the lake! Seriously where else would you go? haha

Once things settled down Thursday evening a game of bingo started as well as a game of horseshoes. I went to watch the horse shoes because lets face it... it was quieter over there. haha Dan came and joined after a while and once Grandpa and Gerald won we had to play against them. For never playing horse shoes before I would say beating them was a good thing. :) Then we played Amanda and Grandpa and we still remain undefeated!! :)

Fun times. Thursday was the last day of the reunion. Some people stayed longer and some left Friday because they had adventures else where. It was such a fun family reunion. We shall see who will be brave enough to step up the the plate and organize one in a few years. :)

Magrath Days!

It's so fun to come home every year for Magrath Days! Everyone is around and it's always a beautiful day!
I was looking forward to it more this year because Sean is older so the parade would be more fun for him and I could finally take him to the petting zoo!!

Our Family Fun started Friday night with everyone over at the Parentals for pizza night! Everyone brought their favorite pizza to share. Great Idea and I think a new tradition from now on. We even made Sean a special shirt for this occasion.

So our day started early as there was a 5K walk/run thing. I watched Tyc and Stefan's kids so they could run in it. Lets face it I was not fit enough to run.
Greg, Mom, Dani, Amie, Tycy, and Stefan all ran in it. The rest of us decided we would go down to watch them finish. When we got there the race had started about 20 mins ago. After much arguing we decided we had time to go to the pancake breakfast before they would finish. WRONG!
we totally missed Greg, Amie, Dani and Stefan finish.
But caught Mom and Tycy.

Parade was at 11 and was amazing as always. Lots of floats and candy for kids! Sean got freezies which were his favorite thing. That and all the horses in the parade. This kid and his animals.

We got home from the parade by noon and I put Sean down for a snooze while we had the family/friend bbq in the back yard. Yet another AWESOME tradition. Good job Greg for cooking all the burgers again this year! Your AMAZING!

Then at 2 we went up to the baseball fields for the LAWN MOWER RACES! I'm so glad they brought these back! haha Oh the red neck-ness of my home town. LOVE IT! They were awesome. We even had a Lawn mower start on fire. haha No one was injured no worries

Then it was the petting zoo time!!!! Sean was in Animal heaven! haha when Daniel showed him the cow Sean got these big happy eyes and said, "MMMMMMOO" haha He knows what a cow is thats for sure. It was his favorite. probably because the cow was laying down. Probably didn't help his pink eye with all these Animals. 

**Pink Eye Side note He woke up Wednesday with a gunky eye and through out the day it turned pink on us so we got some drops and started putting those suckers in. With all the family fun in the days to follow we didn't want him down and out. Friday we get up and get ready to leave and he trips and smashed his eye into my night stand. Hence his horrible looking eye in future pictures.**

After the zoo we stood in line for 1 whole hour (no joke) for Shaved ice. That's how much I wanted it. Only to be disappointed and not able to get Pina Colada. the jerks.

Then there was the Magrath's Got Talent/Family Feud. Of course our family was in it. And kicked butt might I add. Way to go family! Becky sang in the talent show! She was amazing.

It was a super long and fun day. Sean slept like a champ that night! It was fun. I love family gatherings!
